JotMind Terms of Use
These Terms are between you and Sanbit Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd (“Sanbit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. Accepting these Terms
By downloading, installing, or using JotMind and its updates (the “App”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The terms of the app store through which you obtained JotMind also apply.
2. Licence
The App is licensed, not sold. On Apple platforms, JotMind uses Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement, which governs your licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control. On Android, the applicable Google Play terms govern your licence and use of the store. These Terms sit alongside the applicable store terms and cover the service, your content, and purchases. If anything here conflicts with mandatory store terms on the licence itself, those store terms apply.
3. Your content and privacy
You retain all rights to recordings, transcripts, Notes, and other content you create. Sanbit claims no ownership of that content. Speech recognition, organizing, and keyword search run on your device; Sanbit does not operate a server that stores or processes your recordings, transcripts, Notes, titles, or search terms. You may deliberately export or share content using system tools.
You are responsible for keeping your device and local content safe and for having any rights or consent required to record, store, or share content. JotMind does not provide cloud content backup, content recovery after uninstalling or reinstalling the App, or cloud sync. Recently Deleted can restore eligible items while they remain locally retained; Restore Purchases restores only eligible subscription entitlements. Uninstalling the App removes its local data.
4. Acceptable use
You must use JotMind lawfully. You may not:
- record another person without any consent required by applicable law;
- use the App to violate another person’s rights or applicable law;
- reverse engineer or bypass technical protections except where the law permits it;
- resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App; or
- interfere with the App’s security or intended operation.
5. On-device AI
AI-generated transcripts, titles, organized Notes, and other output may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review important output against the original recording or Capture. JotMind does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
6. Store subscriptions and purchases
Paid features may be offered through auto-renewing subscriptions processed by Apple on iOS or Google Play on Android. The App shows the store-provided local price, billing period, and any available trial before purchase. The store confirmation screen states the amount due and when billing begins. If you receive a free trial, the subscription converts to a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, Apple will charge or Google Play will charge the local price shown for the selected plan. It then renews automatically unless you cancel it within the period and according to the timing shown by the store.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account or Google Play subscription settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Use Restore Purchases to restore an eligible entitlement with the same store account on a reinstalled App or another supported device. Apple or Google, not Sanbit, controls billing and refund decisions; request refunds through the applicable store process. RevenueCat helps verify entitlement status but does not receive your JotMind content.
7. Intellectual property
The App, including its software, design, name, logo, and branding, belongs to Sanbit or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you.
8. Changes and availability
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features, or update these Terms. We will revise the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when reasonably required. You may stop using JotMind at any time.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JotMind is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or accurate AI output.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sanbit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from the App. Sanbit’s total liability relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for JotMind in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not permit them.
11. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
